One inquisitive scientist counted that throughout his life a man takes the distance in 40000km., so he makes approximately 56mln. steps. This process would require 8000 hours. You have to agree that these hard workers – our feet – worth proper care!

When there’s lack of care of your feet they start to bring troubles to you: the skin becomes coarse, chaps appear, your feet get tired very quickly, the ankles become swollen. Besides, your beauty depends on your gait and bearing and they in their turn depend on the condition and health of your feet.

When you came home you shouldn’t rush to the kitchen to prepare supper. You need to lie, having lifted your legs up for a quarter of an hour. It will provide the normal circulation of blood and prevent from the varicose veins. To stave it off you need also to use the cooling gel for legs and feet. You’d better use it daily especially if you are disposed to varicose. This good product should hold the crystals of menthol and the other components which improve the microcirculation and decrease the rush of blood to the soles of feet and moreover, tone up and cool the skin.

It will be nice if you devote half a day in a month to care for your feet.

So, let’s start!
You need to wash your feet with warm soap water or better keep them in the footbath with soap water. Then it’s time to apply the cream for peeling to the beet and rub it with circular motions during 5 min. – this procedure removes the dead layer of epidermis, improves the blood circulation and your skin turns out to be soft and tender. The pumice will also help you.

Then after the peeling it’s time for nourishing mask.

You can purchase a special mask in the store but it’s possible to make it up yourself. The simplest variant is toImage apply warm porridge to your feet and keep it so till it’s dry. If you add some linseeds to potato, pour it with water and boil till you get the consistence of thick mess. You keep your feet in this mass for 20min. and the coarsen skin on your heels is sure to get softer.

If your feet are very exhausted and swollen you can rub them over with a piece of ice; it would be perfect if the ice is composed of the sage, chamomile, arnica, cornflake or milfoil extract.

If there’re corns on your feet you may use lemon: bind a piece of lemon peel with pulp to a steamed corn for the night.

The harsh skin on the knees is softened with oil in addition with lemon or orange juice (10:1). You should apply the mixture for 20min. and then wash away with warm water and smear with nourishing cream.

You can also massage your feet. There’re more than 70000 knot-nerves on the soles. When touching them you can relieve the fits of migraine, asthma and other illnesses. You may massage them right after taking the bath and use some massage cream, some nourishing greasy cream or oil for body. Your motions should come in the direction from toes to heels.

  1. The soles of your feet should be intensely rubbed, pay special attention to the muscles of its arch. You need to do it with thumbs of your hands or having bent the fingers into fist: you rub the soles with bone prominences of the bent fingers.
  2. You make the circular motions all over the soles.

If there some painful points on the toes of your feet you may work them out and rub very actively; keep massaging till you feel no pain. At the same time you may massage your shanks and hips with a hand or a massage mitten; but no so actively. By the way, the massage of legs is done from down to up, from the ankles to the knee and then from the knee to the hip joint. You shouldn’t massage your knees. And bear in mind that a harsh bath towel and massage mittens is a nice method to confront the cellulite in its initial phase.

If the varicose of veins you’d better avoid massaging them.

And at last you can do some exercises to improve the blood circulation in your legs.

  1. The starting position – you stand, having out the small rubber ball under a foot. You need to roll the ball with a foot, making the circular motions. Reiterate the exercise for 10-12 times.
  2. The starting position – you sit on a chair, legs are bent in knees, and the feet are parallel to each other. First you raise left and right heels in turns and then both simultaneously. Do it 16-20 times.
  3. The starting pint is the same. You catch and raise various small objects with the toes.

If your feet sweat you need to put on the deodorant. Try to choose the one, which contains anti mycotic agents. You can powder your feet with boric acid in the morning. You smear it with slight motions over the soles and between the toes. Then you put on the socks. In the evening you wash it away with water not hotter than 40-50C.

Deodorant and absorbing moisture insoles can also be of high importance. They bring down the smell and reduce the possibility of such troubles as mycosis and rub soles.

And be careful: coffee, alcohol and spicy food activate the sweating.

If your lifestyle demands constant sitting or standing you’d better purchase special tights, which distribute the pressure in your legs in a proper way. They are sold in the drugstores, are rather expensive; but the treatment will cost you much more.

A competent pedicure is beautifying your feet.
What you need is: a basin with hot water, the product to soft your feet, the brush-pumice and the polishing file for feet and besides, special separator of toes, a pair of tweezers and the ceramic stick for polishing. Moreover, don’t forget about nail polish, its remover, gel for moving away the cuticles and some protective means for strengthening your nails. And what’s more is a disinfectant (any spirit solution).

ImageAfter a warm footbath you use special tweezers or scissors for manicure and cut you nails in a straight line. A slight rounding is given by a polishing file for nails. Avoid touching the corners of a nail – it can result to the growing your nail into. This unpleasant and painful problem finds its solution in the hospital where the growing nail is usually completely removed.

The cuticles are better not to cut off but soften with a special means. Then it is easily moved aside by a special bone or wooden spatula.

The finishing stage is applying the nail polish. But before it you need to put the base to protect your nails from growing yellow and different fungous diseases. Then it’s time to use the nail polish: choose any color to your liking but try to be neat. Don’t apply too many layers – the nails on toes get dry very slowly.

What brings harm to your feet?

  • the excess weight of your body: when you put on weight, your feet suffer the first;
  • tight footwear;
  • other’s footwear;
  • footwear made of rubber;
  • too hot water;
  • synthetical socks;
  • standing on one place

What brings good to your feet?

  • walking barefoot on different surfaces like pebble, water, grass, sand, ground. It’s the way of natural massaging your feet and stimulating the active points on them.
  • wearing footwear of high quality made of genuine leather, the inward surface of it should have pimpled structure; the heels of 3-6cm.;
  • air footbaths;
  • contrasting baths;
  • constringent lingerie (if you caught the sight of varicose).
