ImageNowadays the world is reverting to the natural way of life. That’s why it is not surprising that the leading manufacturers of cosmetics produce creams, which contain vegetable extracts and oils. The leading specialists in thalasso-therapy develop new programs using various plants and minerals.

The surprising thing is that if we look more closely at it we shall see that multimillion beauty’s industry is based on our grandmothers’ receipts and the secrets of quack by birth that knew healing remedies.

Moreover, the modern approach to the care of one’s body and appearance (SPA-philosophy, as a complex approach to the outward and inward man’s state, the theory of biorhythms and physiological types) is based on ancient rituals and traditional ideas of human body. We pay special attention to our way of life and inward sensations. As for receipts, they have stayed the same.

We use the same plants, which helped to preserve woman’s beauty thousands of years ago. Fruit extracts, volatile flower oils and the concentrates of medicinal roots, pounded species have come from ancient days. Now we can use all of these things at home.

Let the people around you think that you are interested in magic or you are trying to master some super exotic cuisine. Don’t pay attention to them because the care of one’s appearance combines the both things, but first of all it is art. So take a mixer and make your own elixir of eternal youth!

You can use either fresh or dried camomile and it to your bath and steam bath or as compresses and decoctions.
Honey is especially good for masks, wrappings and as a foundation of soft scrubs. It softens and smoothes the skin.
Add eggs into masks for your face, body and hair. Yolks nourish the skin and whites make it more elastic and lighten it.
Oatmeal cleanses and softens the skin. It is a good foundation for masks and nourishing mask.
Salt tones and satiates the skin with vitamins. A bath with sea-salt prepares the skin for other procedures.
Curcuma is an excellent foundation for masks and scrubs. It has a healing effect.
Sugar may be added to body scrubs as it polishes and softens the skin.
Cucumber has a moistening, cooling and astringent effect. It is used in masks and compresses.
Vegetable oil is good for massage and nourishing masks.


Apple & Flower Face Tonic.

You will need: 1 peeled apple, 1 teaspoonful of honey, 2 drops of lemon volatile oils and fresh rose-leaves.Image

Make apple puree, add honey and rose leaves. Then pour the boiling water into this mixture. Draw the tonic for 20 minutes. Add volatile oils and put the tonic on your face with a cotton tampon for 10-15 minutes. Then wash your face. You can also mash this receipt for steam bath. Pour some boiling water into the mixture, put a towel on your head and breathe the aromatic steam for 10-15 minutes. You can use either dried medicinal herbs or tea instead of rose leaves.

Baths and scrubs.

…will help to cleanse and refresh your skin and the herbs aroma will cheer you up.

Salt bath for legs. (Refreshes and deodorizes).
You will need: 200g. of sea-salt, dried camomile, sage, mint leaves.

Pour some boiling water into a bowl with herbs and draw the decoction. Dissolve sea-salt with warm water in the bath or basin and add the decoction. Put your feet into it for 10 minutes. Then massage them with saccharic olive scrub.

Flower & Herbs Bath before sleeping.
You will need: 1 handful of lavender, 1 handful of camomile, 1 pack of valerian root.

Mix the herbs, put them into a linen knapsack and tie it up. Put the knapsack under a jet of warm water and fill the bath. You may also draw the herbs, filter them and add to your bath.

Balsams and wrappings.

Having taken a bath massage your body with balsam-scrub. Then take a contrast shower and make anti-cellulite wrapping.

Shower Balsam from Java.
You will need: ¾ glass of sugar, 2teaspoonful of curcuma, 1/3 glass of vegetable oil, a pinch of vanilla and a few drops of volatile oils.

Mix all the ingredients and make paste. Take a warm shower and massage your skin with this paste. Take a shower again and rib your skin with a sponge soaked with sour milk and after that rinse yourself out. Don’t get afraid if curcuma makes your skin a little bit yellow, hot water will wash it. Don’t use this scrub if you have sensitive or injured skin.

Fruit Hair Balsam.

You will need: juice of 2 oranges, pulp of half an apple, half a banana, 1teaspoonful of caraway.

Mix all the ingredients in a blender. Rub this mass into wet hair and wait for 20 minutes. It is more efficient to wrap your hair with warm towel. Then rinse it out and wash your hair with shampoo.

Anti-cellulite wrapping.
(Strengthens and smoothes)
You will need: 1pack of dry clay, 5 drops of lemon, orange or tangerine volatile oils, 2spoons of cinnamon.

Pour some water into clay and thoroughly knead it. Add cinnamon and volatile oils. Put this mixture on the problematic areas, massage for some time and wrap them with pellicle. The put something warm on and wrap yourself with a blanket for 20-30 minutes. Then wash the clay off. This professional procedure removes the excess of liquid and decreases oedemata and roughness of the skin.

Face compresses and masks.

Close your eyes, relax and think about something beautiful. Spare yourself a moment while you are sitting with a mask on your face.

Oatmeal mask. (Calms down the sensitive skin)
You will need: 1 spoon of oatmeal, 1 spoon of cream, 2 spoons of water and a little bit salt.

Mix all the ingredients and put them on your face for 10 minutes. Then slightly massage it and wash the mask off with warm water. This ancient receipt will help you to smooth out the wrinkles and to calm down your skin.

Cucumber & Honey Compress. (Softens dry skin)
ImageYou will need: 3 spoons of honey, 10 drops of lemon juice and 1cooled cucumber.

This eastern receipt will make your skin fresh and shining again. Add the lemon juice into honey and put the mixture on your face. Massage the face for 5 minutes. Don’t wash it off. After that put the slices of cucumber on your face and neck and have a rest or 15 minutes.

Splendid Banana Balsam. (Cleanses and nourishes)
You will need: half a banana, 1 teaspoonful of fresh cream and 1spoon of honey.

Squash the banana with a fork and make puree Warm the cream up, mix it with honey and pour it into banana puree. Put this mask on your face and neck for 15-20 minutes, then wash it off with warm water.

Almonds Milk Mask. (Eliminates oily luster)
You will need: 5-6 almonds nuts, 4 teaspoonful of oatmeal, half a cucumber and 1-2 teaspoonful of dry clay.

It is a fine remedy for combined skin. At first prepare almonds milk: pour the nuts with half a glass of cool boiled water, then grind them in a blender. Separately pound the cucumber. Pour out the cucumber juice into another vessel. Then mix the cucumber pulp and the almond milk. Add oatmeal and clay. Then put this mixture on your face, slightly massage and stay it there for 15 minutes. You can use the cucumber juice as a cooling and toning mask. You can also make compresses for your eyes.
