Dry skin.
ImageIf you take care of your skin well and properly it looks well. But if it is neglected it tends to a premature aging.

TEST: Is your skin dry?
Cleanse your face and neck as usual but don’t put any cream on it. After one hour begin testing it. Examine your skin by the bright light and answer ”yes” or ”no” on the following questions:

  • The pores on your skin aren’t visible, are they?
  • Does your skin seem mate and even uneven?
  • Is it pinky-red?
  • If you are more than 25, do you have the first wrinkles?
  • Have you noticed that in sunny, windy or cold weather there is some redness or irritation on your skin?
  • Are you far from knowing what blackheads are?

If you have answered ”yes” on all the questions your skin is dry.
If you have given 4-5 positive answers you probably have the mixed type of the skin. So test it once again.

Oily skin.
It is not easy to take care of oily skin, but it is possible to solve the problems with oily shining, pores and blackheads.

TEST: Is your skin oily?
For testing you will need bright light, a mirror and several pieces of clean papyrus paper. Cleanse your face as usual but don’t put nay cream on it. After an hour press a piece of papyrus paper to your forehead, nose, chin and cheeks and then answer the following questions:

  • Are there the oily spots on all the pieces of paper?
  • Are the pieces of paper, which you have pressed to your cheeks as oily as the other ones?
  • Are there any clearly seen blackheads on your skin?
  • Is your complexion very pale and poorly satiated with blood?
  • Does your skin seem rough and porous?
  • Do you often have pimples?
  • As for irritation and redness, your skin isn’t very sensitive is it?

If you have answered ”yes” on all the questions, your skin is oily. If you have 4-5 ”yes” answers test your skin, whether it is of mixed type.

Normal (mixed) skin.

TEST: Is your skin normal?
Cleanse your skin but don’t put any cream on it. After 2 hours press pieces of papyrus paper to your nose, forehead, chin and cheeks then answer the following questions:

  • Are there any oily spots on the paper, which you have pressed to your nose, forehead and chin (T-zone)?
  • Does the skin on your cheeks and temples look even and without any pores?
  • Are there any large pores and blackheads in the middle of your face?
  • Does your nose shine in an hour after cleansing?
  • Is your skin sensitive in the whole?
  • Does your skin on the forehead and cheeks tend to have irritation and unevenness?
  • Does your skin seem to be oilier in summer than in any other season?

If you have at least 4 ”yes” answers, your skin is of mixed type.
